Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 

  • Understand and produce the sounds of the Italian alphabet
  • Acquire the basic notions of Italian spelling
  • Acquire certain basic notions of Italian grammar and structure
  • Acquire basic conversational skills
  • Satisfy basic communicative needs
  • Handle basic everyday situations while visiting an Italian speaking country or region
