Join Us and Have Fun !!! Vegetable Gardening Time! Know and Grow Your Own Vegetables
Beginners and even the novice will discover and learn best practices and techniques to grow a great fall vegetable garden. You'll learn what you can plant in the Fall Season (ex. lettuce, greens, broccolli, cabbage, carrots, garlic, onions, winter squash, cucumbers, arugula, etc.) and how to maximize your harvest.
Course Outline
Participants will discover the know-how and best practices for Vegetable Fall Gardening techniques.
1. Choose the right location
2. Select your veggies (easier crops to grow, like carrots, beans, cucumbers, peppers and lettuce).
3. Prepare the soil (Mix compost and natural fertilizers)
4. Best Planting Conditions and Vegetable Gardening Schedules (Growing Conditions and Cycles)
5. Best Seed Planting Practices
6. Soil Hydration/Water Methods
7. Weeding Out Weeds- Mulching and Mulching Types
8. Determining Seed Spacing
9. Tilling and Fertilizing
10. Maximizing Your Harvest (When to pick and use your vegetables)
