Course Description

This course examines the crossroads where the the First and Fourth Amendment intersects.

1. Provide tips for dealing with people who may legitimately exercise their constitutional rights.

2. Understand how to handle citizens that boldly assert what they think their rights are being violated.

Course Outline

This course will address issues related to:

1. Citizens refusal to answer questions asked by an officer.

2. How to deal with bystanders, and filming of police activity.

3. Dealing with police facilities related officer safety concerns.  

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will learn the following:

1. Citizens refusal to identify themselves when questioned asked by an officer.

2. How to deal with bystanders, profanity towards officers, filming of police activity.

3. Dealing with police facilities related to weapons pat downand seizure of cameras or cell phone that have recorded police activity.
