Course Description
The Cosmetology Instructor Certificate Training Part 2 course continues to introduces the basic cosmetology instructional concepts. Topics include orientation, theories of education, unit planning, daily lesson planning, laboratory management, student assessment, record keeping, and other related topics. This is a certificate-level course.
*Students must hold a current North Carolina Cosmetology License.
Course Outline
Theory: observation theory, and motivation,
Business management, student relations, and teaching techniques,
Preparing lesson plans, facilitating student shop internships
Preparing class lectures and presentations
Preparing examinations, grading, and G.S. 88B and the rules of the Board 400 hours
Learner Outcomes
Identify theories of education.
Conduct orientation of new students.
Demonstrate supervisory techniques.
Teach classes, create lesson plans and visual aids for instruction, and administer tests and exams.
Assess student performance in a classroom setting.
Be eligible for the NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts Instructor licensing exam.
