Course Description

This is a comprehensive Spanish language program that provides immediate access to functional language skills for non-Spanish-speaking construction site supervisors. The language component includes the most important Spanish commands, questions, and phrases pertinent to daily interactions between supervisors and workers at construction sites.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion, of this program participants will be able to use Spanish to: greet and compliment employees; express numbers, measurements and fractions; assist with employment and scheduling issues; control safety and medical situations; and issue commands for general and specific construction tasks.

Notes

Class room environment including lecture, whole group discussion, learning pairs and Triads and group interaction utilizing holistic instructional modes to integrate visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles.
