Part Four emphasizes high-level skill refinement, speed, accuracy, and professionalism through intensive clinic experience. Students operate with increased independence while meeting all North Carolina Barber Board practical competencies.

Advanced Haircutting & Precision Work

  • Skin fades, bald fades, and advanced tapering 
  • Shear-over-comb mastery and texturizing techniques 
  • Design work and current industry trends 
  • Corrective haircutting 

Advanced Shaving & Facial Services

  • Precision straight razor techniques 
  • Detailed beard sculpting and enhancements 
  • Advanced hot towel treatments and facial protocols 

Chemical Services – Application & Correction

  • Color correction and advanced formulation 
  • Chemical safety and client protection 
  • Service customization based on hair analysis 

Client Experience & Shop Readiness

  • Consultation mastery and client retention strategies 
  • Managing repeat clientele 
  • Service timing and efficiency (production-based work) 

NC Laws, Rules, and Shop Management

  • Barber shop inspection requirements 
  • Sanitation audits and compliance 
  • Professional ethics and legal responsibilities 

Business & Entrepreneurship Foundations

  • Booth rental vs. employment 
  • Branding, marketing, and social media presence 
  • Financial literacy basics for barbers 

Practical / Clinic Focus
