Course Description

The focus for Esthetics Certificate Program Part Two is skill development, machines, and intermediate clinical practice.

Course Outline

Module 1: Intermediate Facial Treatments (55 Hours)

  • Customized facials 
  • Treatment planning for skin conditions 
  • Acne and corrective treatments 
  • Product ingredient analysis 

Module 2: Advanced Hair Removal (30 Hours)

  • Speed waxing techniques 
  • Advanced brow shaping 
  • Client comfort and efficiency 

Module 3: Esthetics Machines & Technology (45 Hours)
(Within NC Scope of Practice)

  • Facial machines (steamer, brush, suction) 
  • High frequency 
  • Galvanic current 
  • LED therapy (theory/demo as applicable) 
  • Safety and contraindications 

Module 4: Makeup Artistry (25 Hours)

  • Evening and special occasion makeup 
  • Contouring and highlighting 
  • Lash application (strip lashes) 

Module 5: Client Care & Communication (20 Hours)

  • Client consultation refinement 
  • Treatment documentation 
  • Customer service excellence 
  • Handling difficult situations 

Module 6: Student Clinic – Intermediate (40 Hours)

  • Supervised client services 
  • Time management and efficiency 
  • Service upgrades and customization 
  • Retail introduction 

Learner Outcomes

Students will:
  • Perform customized treatments with increased confidence 
  • Use esthetics machines safely within NC guidelines 
  • Improve client interaction and service delivery 
  • Demonstrate intermediate clinic readiness
