Course Description
This course is designed to introduce students to interpreting in a variety of settings including but not limited to areas such as medical, educational and social services. Upon completion, students will be familiar with the roles, protocols and skills of a community interpreter and be able to utilize this knowledge in practice as a community interpreter.

Learner Outcomes

Notes
Students will need the textbook, The Community Interpreter An International Textbook published by Culture and Language Press.
This course will be taught through lectures that are pre-recorded with resources available for students to download. Students will participate in weekly discussion boards and must pass self-assessments after each week.
