Course Description

The course prepares students for entry-level employment as process technicians in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing industries. Students develop foundational knowledge of manufacturing operations, safety, quality systems, and process technology. Course competencies include understanding the role of a process technician, safety, quality processes, maintaining sterile processing and growing living cells.

1. Module I: Pharmaceutical Quality and CGMP

2. Module II: Working Safely 

3. Module III: Measuring Process Parameters

4. Module IV: Chemical Processes in Biomanufacturing

5. Module V: Equipment and Utilities 

6. Module VI: Unit Operations and Controlling the Process

7. Module VII: Facilities and The Manufacturing Environment 

8. Module VIII: Biomanufacturing Production
