Course Description

This course continues the study and application of recording techniques from ENT 7001 and ENT 7002. Emphasis is on multi-track recording and mix-down, microphone techniques, and patch bay function. Upon completion, students should be able to create projects demonstrating proficiency in the skills and use of the equipment.

Content: 
•    Study of mixing console
•    Effects processors
•    ATR editing
•    Mixing/miking techniques
•    Patch bay use
•    Project planning
•    Maintenance
 

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn and understand:
•    How to organize, produce, and engineer a full recording session including 
o    mixdown and proper choice 
o    use of microphones 
o    use of sound boards and other studio equipment.

ENT 7001 and ENT 7002
