Course Description

This course serves as the basis of a capstone project to the Sound Engineering certificate.  Students will learn to use various digital audio workstation (DAW) tools to edit, mix and complete audio recordings. This is a project-based class that provides a deep dive into industry standard tools—Pro Tools.

Course Outline

Content: 
•    Inputting analog into digital audio workstations
•    Overdubbing on Cubase SX, 3
•    Overdubbing on ProTools
•    Editing
•    Incorporating various plugins
•    Mastering
•    Completing CD
 

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn and understand:
•    how to work on most digital audio workstations 
•    digital paths, and plugins
•    how to master and make a recording within the digital domain.

ENT 7001, 7002, and 7003
