Course Description
This required course is a full introduction to the statutes that regulate the acts of NC notaries. The purpose is for applicants to become qualified candidates for the Notary Public commission. Successful candidates must meet a minimum 80 percent exam score. Current Notary Public Manual is required and must be purchased before attending class. Important communication occurs by email prior to class meeting. Please provide a current email address at the time of registration.

Learner Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will submit the application given in class to the Secretary of State. When commissioned, the student will be a Public Officer for the state of North Carolina; able to perform the duties of a Notary in this state.Notes
If you need to renew your Notary commission you can do it through the website (North Carolina Secretary of State Notary Notary (sosnc.gov)), or you may attend the class and let your instructor know you are there for a recommission. The class is not required for a recommission.Instructors
