Course Description

Upon completion of this 8-hour course, attendees will have acquired additional skills and knowledge to enhance their de-escalation techniques, and will be taught options on handling calls for service that involved Subjects/Victims dealing with psychological and drug disorders. This will give all in attendance a broad perspective on the various tools needed to be an effective crisis negotiator. This will be done through lecture and discussions, as well as classroom exercises. There will be handouts as part of this curriculum. Attendees will also betaught how to conduct peer to peer talks with co-workers who may be dealing with PTSD or work related stress.
