SEF-WLX7123 - AWS Single Position Pipe Test

Course Description

This class is the welding testing certification under the American Welding Society (AWS). This is a single position pipe test (2G, 2F, 5G, 5F, 6G, 6F), on schedule 80 carbon steel pipe (2 inch or 6 inch), and led by one of our AWS Certified Welding Inspectors. Testers will be responsible for their appropriate welding gear (hand tools, grinder, etc), and their safety gear (mask, gloves, etc).

Course Outline

Validate proficiency by performing test on schedule 80 carbon steel pipe.
All pipe testing is done in accordance with AWS D1.1 or other applicable code.
2G, 5G, and 6G or 2F, 5F, or 6F

Learner Outcomes

The purpose of this class is to validate adherence to AWS code and welding proficiency in the form of an AWS weld test certification. Testing is done in accordance with AWS D1.1 or other applicable code. This test covers single position pipe.

Notes

Students will provide their own welding gear and personal protective equipment. Closed toed shoes must be worn in class.
