Course Description

This course is designed for students with a beginning knowledge of present tense regular and irregular verbs who desire more practice with them. It is an intense four-week course. It is not intended to replace initial instruction of verbs. Students must possess basic proficiency with all types of present tense verbs. Each 2-hour class will be divided into segments:

1. Review of verb conjugation, and/or introduction of new verbs
2. Written exercises 
3. Verb conjugation games
4. Conversation with verbs – asking and answering questions, dialogues, discussions, etc.

 

COURSE REQUIREMENTS – Students are expected to:

  • Attend a minimum of 3 2-hour classes
  • Participate in class
  • Complete all assignments
  • Work on individual and/or group assignments as instructed

Week 2 
Irregular O:UE verbs

Week 3
Irregular E:IE and E:I verbs

Week 4
Irregular 1st Person verbs
 

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
•    Demonstrate proficient knowledge of present tense verbs in reading and writing
•    Express basic thoughts in the present tense using present tense verbs in conversation
