The sixteen hours of didactic information will be delivered through an online format. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion to be submitted to the State Board.
Course Outline
The online program consists of six modules, presented through Module Folders located under Course Work in the Content area of Brightspace. Please note that the didactic information is delivered through Power Point presentations containing some Audio/Voice Over to provide enhanced clarification of the information provided. In order to gain access and listen to the audio, you will need to download the presentation using the Options Icon on the top tool bar of the content page in Brightspace. Upon completion of each module, students will complete an online quiz for the module.
Lab: Local anesthesia techniques will be performed in the CP Dental Hygiene Clinic in the Health Careers Building on Central Campus (HE 1502). Attendance for the entire 14 hours of the laboratory component is required to be eligible for certification.
