Provides a basic keyboarding course designed for persons entering a health care field.

Course Outline

  • Complete sections 1-20
  • Timed tests
  • Typing techniques
  • Using lower case and uppercase letters
  • Using numbers and symbols
  • Spelling, grammar, and usage
  • Formatting and editing
  • Speed drills

Learner Outcomes

  • Type a minimum of 45 wpm with 3 or fewer errors.
  • Demonstrate skill in language arts, including punctuation, grammar, and spelling.
  • Develop touch-typing skills for data entry on electronic data information processing equipment. 
  • Ability to type words and numbers by touch at a straight copy and will become familiar with a personal computer keyboard
