Course Description

This class will provide students with an overview of Central Piedmont's lineworker program. The program requirements and restrictions will be covered at this time. Included in the class will be a physical assessment of the student's ability to climb, fear of heights, and the student's weight in regards to lineworker equipment weight limits. This class is mandatory for ALL students wanting to enter the lineworker program. Students must be at least 18 years old AND possess a valid North Carolina drivers license.

  • State Requirements (Drivers license, CDL learners permit, background check, etc)
  • Physical Requirements (Weight, DOT physical and drug test, etc)

Learner Outcomes

  • Students will receive an overview of the electrical lineworker program.
  • State requirements and timelines will be discussed.
  • Physical assessment.

Notes

Students must be at least 18 years old AND possess a North Carolina drivers license. Please come to class appropriately dressed to climb.
