Course Description

PLU 8007 Service Plumbing -- Commercial provides students with the basic skills and knowledge needed to work as a facilities maintenance technician for both residential and commercial properties.

  • Sink and Garbage Disposal Replacement

  • Ejector Pumps Repair and Replacement
  • Drain Cleaning

Learner Outcomes

  • Students will learn the various plumbing materials and tools used in basic plumbing service calls.
  • Students will learn the importance of, and methods used in leak location and detection.
  • Students will learn the repair and replacement of faucets, toilets, sinks, garbage disposals, water heaters, and ejector pumps.
  • Students will learn various methods of drain cleaning.

Notes

Closed toe shoes are required at all times in the lab.
