Course Description
This course trains individuals to be assisted living administrators. The course meets the state requirement of preceptorship hours, along with online hours and in-class coursework. The coursework includes resource management, management of environmental services, finance, food services, marketing, budgeting and resident care. Preceptorships are on site at approved assisted living communities. Admittance into this class is contingent on an application process.Course Outline

LHPS: Reporting Abuse Issues; Special Care Units
Environmental: Inspections and sanitation; Hair Salon; Housekeeping; MSDS; OSHA
Food Service: Diets and menus; Serving etiquette; Sanitation
Presentations: AHS/DSS; Ombudsman Presentation; Sales and Marketing; Respite Care; Competitor Visits; Crisis Management; Activities
Resident funds: Budget/finance and operations; Revenue vs. Expenses: Staffing Dollars vs. Hours; Benefits; Creating Budgets; Scheduling
