Course Description

Leadership Essentials for new supervisors/managers blends virtual meetings with self-paced online focused learning in a 6-week course. Leaders will learn to lead their people using a set of proven and foundational skills, set goals and manage their day-to-day performance, encourage their growth and development, build trust with their people, and repair it when it’s been compromised.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the Leader Essentials course, participants will be able to 
•    Assess their strengths and opportunities regarding the Four Core Conversations and the Communication Essentials. 
•    Describe behaviors that build or erode trust
•    Practice the key behaviors in building trust
 

Notes

Format: Each week includes 60 – 75 minutes of self-paced study with online modules and a 1-hour live instructor-led virtual class meeting.  Online modules include self-assessments, videos, interactive exercises, quizzes, practice activities that can be used in real work situations, and optional resources (playlist) for more information on key topics if needed.
