Course Description
This 42.5-hour, hands-on training and discovery experience is for Mecklenburg County small business owners who want to pursue opportunities for government contracting. Participants will explore government markets with the intention of increasing their chances of winning government contracts, successfully complying with contracting rules and guidelines, and delivering contractual outcomes as prescribed in proposals. The program will combine lecture presentations, checklists, project-based assignments, group discussions, and guest speakers. Case studies woven throughout the course and carefully curated content, aim to maximize participants’ understanding and assimilation while encouraging real-world application of the core concepts of the course material.
The course also engages participants in a vibrant Charlotte-Mecklenburg entrepreneurial support community that enables them to share their needs and questions with experienced business owners, subject matter experts, and business coaches.
