Course Description

This course focuses on leadership issues regarding how to improve the culture in a changing envirnment for mid-level leaders and how to support the mission of real servant leadership and authentic communication.

Course Outline

Introduction

1. Define the philosophy of a servant leader.

2. Discuss the pros and cons of a servant leader at mid management level.

3. Discuss the differences between serving as a mid-level manager in the 20th century vs. 21st century.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will achieve the following objectives:

1. Students will gain a better understanding of their role as a mid-level leader.

2. Students will learn how to build an action plan to improve interaction with others.

3. Students will learn how to develop self and social awareness to improve communication and empathy for those from various backgrounds.
