Course Description

Have you always wanted to publish your own book? This hands-on course walks participants through the entire self-publishing process using Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) platform. You’ll learn how to format and upload your manuscript, design or upload a professional-quality book cover, and publish your work in Kindle, paperback, or hardcover formats. The course also covers how to distribute your book through Kindle Unlimited and key strategies for setting pricing, royalties, and marketing your work.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 

  • Prepare a manuscript for publication in KDP using appropriate formatting standards. 

  • Create and upload a professional book cover that meets Amazon’s specifications. 

  • Navigate the KDP dashboard to publish Kindle, paperback, and hardcover editions. 

  • Enroll a title in Kindle Unlimited and understand royalty and distribution options. 

  • Implement basic marketing and metadata strategies to increase visibility and sales.
