CAR-CIX7000 - Introduction to Carpentry
Course Description
This course teaches students the basics of carpentry: safety, hand and power tools, carpentry math, and hands-on experience. The class utilizes the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) training format. Designed for the beginning student, you’ll learn about critical safety components, the use of hand and power tools, and basic blueprint reading. Whether you want to get a job in construction, remodel existing projects, or simply be more confident in-home projects, this course is for you. Learn more at www.nccer.org. The successful completion of this class is required to take further construction courses.
