Course Description

This two day seminar will introduce attendees to Forensic Odontology. Students will learn to differentiate between a human bite mark and other types of injuries resembling a bite mark. Emphasis will center on the importance of proper collection and preservation procedures.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Understand how bite marks are caused
Collect and preserve evidence from the bite mark
Photograph the bruising associated with the bite mark
Use the bite mark as a source of identification
