CJC-FRN7901 - Wound Injury, Patterns and Analysis
Course Description
This 40 hour online training class is designed for experienced Detectives and Investigators, new police officers and First Responders. The class introduces the wound injuries, patterns of injuries and an analysis of the forensic evidence. The collection and identification of this evidence is covered in the class along with unique case histories that will re-enforce the experienced investigator on what is needed to improve on the investigation and what may be missed in making a good criminal case. Main modules will cover wound analysis, wound injury, wound patterns, types of wounds, blunt force trauma and sharp force trauma. Gunshot wounds, bite marks, lacerations, stab wounds and bruises are also covered.

Learner Outcomes

- Be introduced to crime scenes involving blood spatter and accidental injury
- Be able to recognize evidence with other types of death
