Course Description

This 16 hour course is designed for Law Enforcement and First Responders with drone experience. Students will learn how to locate subjects and/or victims in indoor scenarios. The instructor will cover how to use an sUAS tactically with or without a team in order to safely gather data indoors. Students will receive hands on flight experience operating a drone in an indoor setting.

  • Drone attitude mode
  • Tactical methods of flying an sUAS
  • Hands-on flying experience with indoor settings

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students will have learned the following:
  • How to locate individuals in an indoor setting
  • Learn how to tactically and safely collect data indoors utilizing an sUAS
  • Become familiar with operating in "attitude mode"
  • Hands-on experience with flying drones outside and indoors with the goal of locating individuals in a crime scene
