Course Description

This course is designed to convey a basic overview of the fundamentals, imperatives, and operations of a Private Investigator. The fundamentals of this course can be employed in any theatre of operation. This course is focused on protective operations conducted by law enforcement professionals within their legal jurisdictions, rules of engagement, and departmental protocols.

  • Different types of formations and when they are used

Learner Outcomes

At the end of this course, students will achieve the following objectives:

  • The students will understand the reason for an Advance Party and demonstrate the role of an Advance Party.
  • The students will learn the different types of formations used to protect personnel, and know when to use that formation.
  • Students will learn command and control of a Protective Services Detail operations as a Protective Services Detail shift leader.
  • Students will develop heightened awareness as a Protective Services Team Member.
