Course Description

Training on use of Arizona Vortex Ropes system.

Course Outline

Course will be utilizing CMC MPD User manual as well as CMC Rope Rescue Technician Manual 6th edition.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion students will be able to elevate rope lines above edges, entries, or other obstructions. This training will also prepare the student to navigate cliff edges, confined spaces, mines, and other industrial rescue or rope access operations. This training will provide Charlotte Fire Department Rescue Personnel with hands on training and skills necessary to properly set up and conduct rescue operations using the Arizona Vortex System.

Method of Instruction: In person lecture

Evaluation: Evaluation will be done by Special Schools through OSFM by means of practical as well as written evaluation. This course does not produce a state certification and is only used for in-service.
