Course content:

1. Basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures and terminology refresh
2. Mastering Adjusting Entries
3. Mastering Correction of Accounting Errors
4. Mastering Payroll
5. Mastering Depreciation
6. Mastering Inventory
7. Mastering Internal Controls and Fraud Prevention

 

Learner Outcomes

Course Objectives:

  1. Understand, calculate, and record adjusting entries for accruals and deferrals
  2. Perform monthly bank reconciliations, and find and correct errors revealed by it
  3. Carry out the basic payroll functions, including paying wages, withholding, depositing and reporting taxes, and preparing federal forms
  4. Understanding how qualifying assets are depreciated on the financial statements and tax returns
  5. Record inventory purchases and sales, and determine cost of goods sold and ending inventory through
  6. multiple methods
  7. Install and implement basic internal controls for fraud prevention
