Course Description

This course provides an educational experience that helps Chief Officers and prospective Chief Officers  recognize what effective leadership is, understand the difference between leadership styles, and develop the skills required to select the most appropriate style for them and the situation. In addition to a pre-course assignment that must be completed prior to the first day of class, the course consists of lectures and group activities.

Learner Outcomes

The student will be taught application of leadership, core values, group dynamics and problem solving, ethical leadership and contemporary leadership issues.

Notes

Method of Instruction: Lecture, Case Studies and Group Activities

Evaluation: The standard Central Piedmont Class Evaluation Form will be used as a measurement of the class.  The form will gauge the participant's usefulness of the information within the program.
