Course Description

This course is approved by the North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI) for individuals seeking a Property Insurance agent license, and recommended for those seeking an adjuster license. You will learn general terms and concepts associated with property insurance, personal and commercial insurance coverage and N.C. statutes and regulations. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the state Property Insurance Agent Exam. Students seeking an agent license must attend 100 percent of the classes.

1.Terms and Concepts
2. Personal Insurance Coverage
3. Commercial Insurance Coverages
4. NC Statutes and Regulations pertinent to Property Insurance
5. In class Final Exam

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion, students should be able to discuss and explain the various coverages for the direct and consequential loss or damage to property of any kind. Students should also be able to interpret the regulations and laws specifically applying to property insurance.

Notes

Method of Instruction - Lecture, in class questions and discussion.

Evaluation - In class final exam.

This class requires 100% class attendance. Book must be purchased form college bookstore prior to class
start. Student must pass in-class exam before receiving admission ticket to State Examination.
