Course Description

This course is required for individuals seeking a Property Insurance Agent sales license and recommended
for those seeking and Adjustor’s license. Course content will cover general terms and concepts associated with property insurance, personal and commercial insurance coverage, and North Carolina statutes and regulations pertinent to property insurance. Upon successful completion (75% or higher), students will be eligible to sit for the state Property Insurance Agent Examination. Students seeking a sales license must attend 100% of the classes.
It is recommended that student take Property class before taking Casualty class.

4. Other Personal Property, Comprehensive Personal Liabilities, Personal Umbrella Policy, Watercraft & Yacht Policies
5. Commercial Auto Insurance, Business Auto Coverage, Garage Coverage
6. Commercial General Liability
7. Workers Compensation Policy
8. Other Commercial Policies, Bonds, Commercial Umbrella Policy, Commercial Crime Coverage
9. Package Policies ( Repeat of Property Chapter 9)
10. Casualty Practice Exam

Learner Outcomes

To provide a basic understanding of property insurance practices and to assist the student to prepare for the state Insurance License Exam. This course is required for individuals seeking a Sales license and recommended for those seeking an Adjuster license.

Notes

This class requires 100% attendance. Student must take and pass in class exam with a score of at least 75%. Book is required and must be purchased from the college bookstore.
