Course Description
This course is required for individuals seeking a Accident, Sickness and Health Insurance Sales’s license.
Course content will cover the types of individual Accident, Sickness and Health insurance; policy provisions, options and various features; Accident, Sickness and Health topics and North Carolina statutes and regulations pertinent to Accident, Sickness and Health insurance.
This course is also a prerequisite for obtaining a Medicare Supplement and Long Term Care License in NC. Upon successful completion (75% or higher), students will be eligible to sit for the state Accident, Sickness and Health Agent Examination. Students seeking a sales license must attend 100% of the classes.

Learner Outcomes
Upon completion students should be able to discuss and explain the various lines of Accident, Sickness and Health Insurance, including individual & group disability and health insurance including a brief summary of the Affordable Care Act. The course also covers State Statutes and guidelines for these products.Notes
Method of instruction - Lecture, in class quizzes, class participation.Evaluation - Final Exam.
This course requires 100% attendance. Student must pass in class exam with a score of at least 75%. A textbook is required and must be purchased at the college bookstore.
