Course Description

This is 80-hour integrated course is FREE for Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMT, Paramedics, and Department of Public Safety Officers. This course requires students to attend once weekly, every Thursday (0900-1200) unless  at Merancas Campus, in Huntersville, North Carolina. This course offers classroom interaction/activities/practical exercises coupled with topics essential to being a successful leader or enhance current leadership skills and styles. The course will allow participants to develop or enhance current leadership approaches.

Course Outline

• Students will be required to conduct self-assessments.
• Students will be able to use the essential components of how to manage stress as a leader.
• Students will learn different coaching and motivation techniques to use a leader.
• Students will be able to effectively form and lead successful groups and teams.
• Students will learn and be able to develop their moral compass.
• Students will learn how about conflict management and how to apply it.
